AI Visibility Checkerfor Law Firms
Enter your law firm's website URL and get an instant score showing how visible you are to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and other AI search engines.
What the Score Measures
HTTPS, title tag, meta description, and H1, the baseline signals every AI crawler reads first.
Canonical tag and OG image, prevents duplicate content confusion and enables rich previews.
JSON-LD schema presence, Organization identity, FAQ pages, and author markup. The biggest factor in AI citability.
llms.txt guidance file and robots.txt rules, determines if AI crawlers can actually read your site.
Why AI Visibility Matters for Law Firms
When someone asks ChatGPT “best personal injury lawyer in Dallas” or searches Google AI Overviews for “what to do after a car accident,” the firms that appear are the ones AI systems can read, understand, and trust. In our index of 106 personal injury firm websites the median score is 80, and only 3 scored below 40. Most firms are not broken. They clear the basics and then stall on the structured signals AI systems rely on.
A firm with a 30/100 score and a firm with an 85/100 score may have identical practice areas and reputation, but only one of them shows up when potential clients ask AI for a recommendation.
About this checker
What does the AI Visibility Checker test?+
The checker analyzes 12 signals across four categories: technical foundation (HTTPS, title, meta description, H1), content signals (canonical tag, OG image), structured data (JSON-LD schema, Organization, FAQ, and Author schema types), and AI crawlability (llms.txt file and robots.txt AI bot rules). Each signal contributes to a 100-point score.
Is this tool free?+
Yes. The AI Visibility Checker is completely free with no signup required. Enter your law firm website URL and get a full score with a breakdown of every check in seconds.
What is a good AI visibility score?+
Scores of 80 or above indicate strong AI visibility. Scores of 60 to 79 represent a developing foundation with fixable gaps. Scores below 60 mean important signals are missing that limit how AI search engines can understand and cite your firm.
What is llms.txt and why does it matter?+
llms.txt is a plain text file at the root of your website that summarizes what you do and which pages matter, proposed as a convention for AI systems. Be careful with the claims made about it. Google has stated it does not use llms.txt for Search, and no major answer engine has confirmed it as a citation signal, though some AI assistants and coding agents do read it. We score it because it is free to publish, takes minutes to maintain, and signals a site that has thought about machine readers. Treat it as hygiene, not as a ranking lever.
